Climate change is a global concern. The earth's temperature is constantly rising. Glaciers are melting somewhere and forest fires are starting somewhere.

People are worried about the heat. Air conditioners are being installed in homes and offices to control the heat.

But air conditioners heat the outside more than they cool the inside.

According to experts, the gas coming out of air conditioners has a big hand in climate change. If air conditioners are a loss-making deal, what other way is there to cool homes?

The California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco exemplifies this. The entire roof of this building is green. This helps keep the building temperature low.

In addition, the windows on the roof are open, from where the cool air comes in. Even on hot days, one can spend time here without AC.
